Entrance to the Japanese Garden

Two oriental stone lion-dogs stand guard at the entrance to the Japanese Garden, which extends down into a lush canyon of sculpted pines, maples, and fruit trees. The traditional low wooden gateway reminds visitors of their stature compared to the grand space they are about to enter.
